VZHM ACOUSTIC UNION IS NOW SIMPLY, “ACOUSTIC UNION”
We’re excited to announce that VZHM Acoustic Union will now be known simply as “Acoustic Union”. Thank you all for flowing with our multiple name changes over the past few years, especially those of you that bought t- shirts with each new name! We promise to have an even cooler new shirt for you this time, featuring our new logo.
Here’s our story… we began as John Vento & Friends when Cherylann Hawk and various others joining John in the studio, on stage, and even in the theater for his album “Love, Lust & Other Wreckage” in 2017. Then Bob Zigerelli joined John & Cherylann in the studio during the creation of JV’s album “Brick By Brick” (2020 – 2021). The chemistry was so strong we decided to go out and perform as a trio. By 2023, Kevin McCarthy joined the trio, and we became “Vento, Ziggy, Hawk & McCarthy,” which eventually was shortened to VZH&M.
Unfortunately, over the past year, Ziggy had to step back from live performances because of health issues, and Joe Birch (guitar and vocal), joined the group. That meant another slight name change; VZHM Acoustic Union. Though we usually perform as a four- piece acoustic group, we sometimes scale back to just two or three of us. Regardless of the configuration the commitment is to always deliver a quality performance.
So, now we are simply “Acoustic Union.” Ziggy still makes it out to shows from time to time, and is involved with our studio recordings, including our soon to be released new single, “These Hands,” featuring Joe Birch on lead vocals.
Thank you for your continued friendship and support. We hope to see you soon at an upcoming gig. Check out our schedule and our music at our new domain www.theacousticunion.com
